LAS - Live Adjust System®

 

ACSYS offers a two-camera solution for maximum precision in machining tasks. The first camera shows the entire working area and provides the operator with an overview of the workpieces that are to be machined. This is the basic function of the LAS - Live Adjust System.

The second camera is pointed straight through the laser beam path and allows a partial high-resolution view of the workpiece that is to be machined.

Precise and immediate.
The LAS - Live Adjust System by ACSYS offers customers the quickest and easiest way of setting up machines.

 

The workpiece in the machine is shown as a "live" image on the laser system's monitor using a high-resolution camera. The operator can place layouts right at the workpiece that is to be machined. He can also insert writing, design barcodes or DataMatrix codes, etc. on screen.

OPR - Optical Part Recognition

 

The optical part recognition enables the fully automated processing of non-palletized loose parts. In the example on the left, the high-resolution camera automatically recognizes the arrangement and rotational angle of the coin minting stamps. Then the laser imprints a frosting and an authenticity certificate in the same location.

The component from the software's perspective. The software recognizes the position and rotational angle of the workpieces and marks or engraves in the previously trained location. This example deals with very small plastic parts for high-precision ball bearings. In this example, 180 components were automatically marked on a surface of 580 x 485 mm² in a single working step.

 

Seeing and recognizing are not the same thing. A short film about the subject of OPR using the example of a SHARK. This example deals with lens rings, whose position and rotational angle are recognized and which are automatically machined.

The OPR - Optical Part Recognition consists of a camera and software module. It recognizes the type and position of loose and non-palletized workpieces and machines them in fully automated mode. The OPR module allows highly efficient stack processing.

For depth engraving and 3D engraving, the material is removed down to μm-level, ensuring high-precision results. The ODC module measures the actual engraving depth contact-free and controls the exact target depth of the laser.

Free-form surfaces can also be sampled and digitized with the ODC module, making them easy to process.

3D Assistant software module

 

The 3D Assistant allows a comfortable design of complex 3D engravings and micro engravings. A graphical preview simplifies the setup of the workpiece. Due to the automated readjustment of the laser focus, very deep, premium quality 3D engravings can be realized.

The Dynamic Focus Control allows the modification of the focal point during the laser machining process. As a result, free-form surfaces can be processed without optical distortion or compromising quality. The time-consuming segmentation of the layout into different focus layers is no longer required.

Precision package

Precision package


The precision package is an essential tool for all systems with high accuracy requirements. It includes a direct measuring system on glass scales, a reinforced machine bed for higher machine stability and ground steel plate with T-slots according to DIN 650, H12. The X and Y axes are equipped with cast steel axles.

Manual and electric swiveling galvo heads



An electric swiveling galvo head can be positioned continuously from the horizontal to the vertical for laser machining on several sides of a workpiece (including workpieces with very complex shapes) in a single working step. This way, absolute precision is ensured. Using this technology, it is possible to cover a broader spectrum of workpieces while saving time in the process. A manual swiveling galvo head allows the horizontal and vertical laser machining of workpieces, thereby broadening the spectrum of machinable workpieces.

Extraction systems


Approx. 90% of the fine dust, which is created during laser machining, has a particle size of more than 1 ym (smoke). This powerful extraction system discharges these particles reliably and safely into a suitable filter. The flexible extraction hose and flex nozzle allow the individual adaptation of the extraction system for a wide range of very different workpieces and workpiece mounts. The extraction system's connection has a nominal size of 44 mm and is located at the rear of the laser system.

Safety light barriers provide additional safety for machine operators. If an object gets between the safety light barriers, the laser system stops the laser machining process immediately and the barrier light switches from green to red.

The double-focusing system shows at a glance whether the laser machining head has the correct focal distance to the workpiece. Furthermore, the correct focal distance can also be calculated on surfaces, which are difficult to either access or measure. Additionally, the pilot laser function is implemented in the double-focusing system.
The pilot laser makes the correct positioning of workpieces under the laser machining head much easier. Not only does the pilot laser mark the center of the marking area, it also displays a fitting rectangle according to the layout specifications. Alternatively, the fitting rectangles of all layout elements can be shown, and for small layouts also the contour lines. The double focusing system is also available with green laser systems.
