The rotary table automatically moves the part in front of the laser lens and the adjacent camera lens. The high-resolution camera system recognizes the rotational angle and position of the part and the system automatically rotates the part into the correct position.
Now the laser creates a micro engraving at the cutting edge. The rotary table automatically rotates the finished workpiece back into the start position. At the same time, a second unprocessed workpiece is rotated in front of the lenses of the camera and laser in the second table dividing head. The right-hand second gripper removes the finished part from the integrated dividing head and automatically places it in the right-hand pallet. At the same time, the left-hand robot gripper loads a new unprocessed workpiece into the dividing head.
BARRACUDA - Automation, OPR and robot gripper
The video on the right shows individual working steps of the customized solution:
- The workpieces are placed in the pallet.
- The workpieces are individually placed in the integrated tabletop dividing head of the rotary table by the left-hand robot gripper.
- The rotary table automatically rotates the workpiece in front of the laser lens and adjacent camera lens.
- The high-resolution camera system recognizes the rotational angle and position of the workpiece and the system automatically rotates the workpiece into the correct position in front of the laser lens.
- The laser creates a micro engraving on the workpiece.
- The rotary table automatically rotates the finished workpiece back into the start position. At the same time, a second unprocessed workpiece is rotated in front of the lenses of the camera and laser in the second tabletop dividing head.
- The second robot gripper removes the completed workpiece.
