The unique 5-axis laser machining center from ACSYS specifically has been designed for µ range.
The unique 5-axis laser machining center from ACSYS has been designed for the μ range. A vibration-free granite bed, embedded in polymer concrete, is the basic requirement for the highest precision in laser processing. The special axes with glass scales are set in a granite portal to guarantee the highest accuracy in any position.
The BARRACUDA®µ optional can be equipped with an EAGLE EYE, which allows the user the non-contact digitizing of most different surfaces.
Wide-opening doors allow easy loading also by crane and setting up the laser system.
The BARRACUDA®µ offers laser digitizing, 3D laser engraving, micro-engraving, laser frosting, surface structuring and filigree laser marking in 5-axis functionality with maximum precision.

The BARRACUDA®µ offers users a variety of functions for the production of most different applications.
The solid design of all components make the BARRACUDA®µ absolutely vibration-free and guarantee a μ-precise laser treatment in all 3 dimensions.
The 5-axis functionality of the BARRACUDA®µ allows editing of multiple surfaces and different angles in one operation.
A batch processing with special fixtures or using the OPR - Optical Part Recognition allows a fully automatic handling of many workpiece in one operation.
The extraordinary precision of the BARRACUDA®µ makes it a unique tool with multiple applications for highest accuracy.
Digitizing and depth measuring system:
Digitizations as well as the depth control function are based on hologram technology and makes for extremely precise 3D digital images on all surfaces, plaster models, embossing or directly from coins and medals.
The resulting 3D file can be used for production and
reproduction and can easily be processed in AC LASER or in any other CAD software.
An advantage of contactless scanning is the high speed and the small detail measuring capabilities. Where absolute accuracy is needed it is easy to just change lenses to a greater magnified lens which fits in just a few seconds.
The ODC - Online depth measuring system works accurately according to the same principle as the digitisation and offers a way during the engraving to precisely control the focal distance.

Ultrahigh-resolution cameras
and dual camera preview
The camera setup module, Live Adjust System® of ACSYS, makes highly efficient work possible with the laser.
The high resolution camera gives an accurate preview on the workpiece and as this is shown on the computer monitor, it is easy to access and if needed work on till the desired image is formed.
Within the AC LASER software operators have the possibility to write texts, designs and then position these either in 2D or 3D directly in the illustration of the workpiece. Then defining or outlining the area for frostings precisely.

Our dual camera solution offers the maximum of precision. In addition to the external camera a ultrahigh resolution camera shows the workpiece directly through the course of the laser beam.
